Dock and villas

Quality accommodations and service in Central America 's most remote destination. The ambiance is that of leisure and relaxed casual elegance with a style that is both refined and rustic.

The first European to explore the coasts of Central America was the Spanish explorer Rodrigo de Bastidas. His first landing was in 1501 at "El Escribano", the exact location of Coral Lodge resort. The pirates Morgan and Drake often used Escribano as a staging ground to ambush Spanish Galleons and to raid the nearby Spanish port of Portobello. “Re-discover” with us this exciting paradise.

Coral Lodge Resort…Costa Arriba of Colon and the essence Of San Blas… Only 5 hrs travel time from Miami .. surrounded only by nature.
The following rates are based on the cost involved in providing a quality service and infrastructure (over the water bungalows) in our very remote location and should not create expectations of conventional luxury. Coral Lodge is a quality eco-lodge ideal for those who appreciate a unique beautiful setting, nature related activities and an authentic eco-adventure experience. MORE INFORMATION ON OUR RATES AND SERVICE

CORAL LODGE POLICIES

OUR RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT: Check-in time 1:00 pm and Check out time: 11:00 am

VILLA #6:  Due to a number of reviews in various websites and magazine articles, there is a constant demand for reserving villa #6.  Its location is slightly more private but all the villas are basically the same and have the same great views.  Since #6 was the first villa built, our guinea pig as it were, the other villas have slight layout improvements and are a bit more spacious.  We try to reserve villa#6 on a first come first serve basis but we give priority to honeymooners and longer stays.  However, since we only have six water villas, we can’t promise any given villa with total certainty since there is a chance, however small, that a change would have to be made to properly accommodate reservations.

MINIMUM STAY: Given Coral Lodge’s remote location and the numerous leisure, nature, adventure and cultural related activities offered, we strongly recommend a minimum stay of 2 nights. During high season, longer stays will be given priority over reservation requests for shorter stays.

CHILDREN POLICY: Because Coral Lodge’s bungalows and walkways are over the water children under age 10 are not allowed for safety reasons.  Given the type of activities available at Coral Lodge, we do not recommend booking with us if you plan to bring children and/or adolescents over 10 years of age unless you are certain they will enjoy nature related activities and will not create a disturbance to other guest who want to relax and enjoy our unique setting. We do not have TV, internet, video games or activities designed for children and since a number of situations could be hazardous for them, parents must exercise care and control of their children at all times. We do not allow rough or boisterous behavior.

DIVE PACKAGE RESERVATIONS: During the months of December through March, Coral Lodge does not accept reservations for Dive Packages due to the weather. This time period is the windy season on the north coast of Panama and there is only about a 30% chance of being able to dive.
